Our Story
ONE PLUS ONE IS.....
You were going to say two right? Well in our case, it's four! Five if you count our four-legged friend too. My name is Brittany and I control this site, but I am no one compared to the three other awesome people in my life. My husband's name is Tommy. We were married in the Birmingham Alabama Temple in December of 2012. He is an eternal blessing in my life. He is patient when I am not. He is calm when I am angry. He loves me inspite of all the things I am not. But everyday he is helping me become the very best version of myself.
We got pregnant shortly after our marriage. Accident. But the greatest accident ever. In November of 2013 our first son was born. We named him after his father, John Thomas Green Junior. Our little Bubba. He is 2 years old and he is the sweetest little boy. He helps me remember to take my time and enjoy the little things around me. He reminds me to explore this wonderful world. And most of all, as I teach him the most important things that I know about God, love, life, and people he teaches them to me all over again with his pure little example. Currently he loves dinosaurs, books, chickens (??), string cheese and sprite. His favorite place to go is the zoo and he loves playing with his cousins at his Gram and Pap's house.
We got pregnant after Bub's first birthday and four months ago I gave birth to our daughter AnneMarie Ruth (Roo) Green. When John was born, he had gastric reflux and a NICU stay. He was so small. Even when we got home from the hospital he was miserable. He was a very colic-y and unhappy baby up until about six months of age. No one got to enjoy little Bub's infant stage. Not even him. But with our little Roo, everthing was different. She was born at a normal weight (MORE than normal) and had no troubles to speak of. She has been nothing but a joy from the minute she was born. She takes after her Daddy in that she asks for so little- and she can make do with just about anything. We love her so much.
I hope you can find a little relief on this blog and know that there are other moms out there just like you with threenagers. I have two under two and I want to share some ideas that come to me or that others share or have shared with me that help me get through the day.
